In 12 months, we covered approximately 15,000 miles (25,000 km) driving from Alexandria, Virginia to Panama City, Panama. This is approximate because our odometer stopped working somewhere in Honduras and we didn't get it fixed until Nicaragua (by a mechanic who made a house call and repaired it with some epoxy.)
